Takenoyama Elementary School, Nissinkita Junior High School

Putting forward the concept of “a school to bring people together”, we worked to build a consensus through methods such as workshops in the school district and interviews with school stakeholders. With the Meeting Plaza courtyard at the center, we provided areas specific to each school, and shared areas, in a configuration that allows exchange and connection. We installed solar cells, LED lighting, natural ventilation and other facilities, while also considering functionality as a school and ease of maintenance, aiming to save energy and ensure functionality as an evacuation facility.
