Yasui Architects & Engineers is contributing to a range of architectural design and support services for the 2025 Japan World Exposition (Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai), to be held in Yumeshima, Osaka, from April 13 to October 13, 2025. This event is organized by the Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition.
Under the overarching theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” we have taken on many challenges to bring to life the themes of life, nature, diversity, and inclusivity. These efforts include projects ranging from Yumeshima Station—which connects to the Expo site—to the construction of various facilities and pavilions within the venue. In addition to creating a rich and immersive experience for visitors, we have incorporated various innovations to reduce environmental impact—such as promoting recycling, encouraging reuse, and working toward decarbonization. We hope these efforts will help pave the way beyond the SDGs—toward SDGs Beyond and, ultimately, Society 5.0.
