EnvironmentEver since the industrial revolution, human activities such as fossil fuel combustion have been the main contributor of climate change. It is our global goal with no time to waste to take on measures against global warming phenomenon to realize our sustainable future.
In October 2020, the Japanese government declared “Carbon Neutrality in 2050”, which targets to limit the increase in global average temperature to 1.5ºC above pre-industrial level and achieve net-zero emissions of greenhouse gas. In response, Yasui Architects & Engineers, Inc. released a commitment “to become carbon neutral” in October 2021 and has been working on activities to reduce environmental burden.
Reducing waste, reducing long distance travel utilizing ICT, developing green infrastructure such as greening communities and offices, proposing ZEB (Zero Energy Building) technologies, adopting wooden architecture, reducing LCCO₂ by preserving and restoring historical structures…
