A regenerative perspective 6 — Green Place Design —

Rapid urban development has triggered many green-related challenges, from loss of biodiversity to global warming. In this context, we shift from conventional, regulation-driven “passive greening” toward an approach of “active greening” that brings direct benefits to people by incorporating greenery.
Rather than simply planting greenery, we place importance on enhancing its quality, contributing to the comprehensive green utilization for the urban environment. This includes supporting potential natural vegetation, strengthening green networks, leveraging plant functions that improve well-being, and quantifying effects such as microclimate mitigation and carbon fixation. Through the placemaking with good use of green, we promote the creation of environments that can be passed on to the next generation.
