The first overseas hotel of the WHG Hotels by Fujita Kanko Inc., located in the Namdaemun district of the Myeongdong area of Seoul. With respect for the locality of the place, the hotel intends to provide high-quality, attentive Japanese hospitality—the “Quality of Japan”—to its guests. Timeless and elegantly designed, the bedroom features an art wall with silhouettes of Korean rose of Sharon and magnolia trees, echoing Ogata Kōrin’s Irises. The Shippo pattern on the glass softly separating the front room and the bedroom is a Japanese traditional auspicious motif that represents expansiveness and is linked to the carpet and featured elements in the public area. Gracefully incorporated throughout the hotel are the detailed features exclusive to a Japanese hotel, where guests can savor the tranquility and comfort of a hotel in the middle of a tourist spot.
