Menicon Theater Aoi Building

“Miru(Seeing)” involves feeling and sharing joy and delight through all senses. Engaged in improving a company’s headquarters building with a theater (general arts hall) complex as project managers, we had many discussions and proposals to materialize the company’s slogan. The masterplan was based on the concept of a new office that “nurtures people through the five senses”; through design and construction, it was realized as a multi-level theater facility. The complex contains various functions, including a office space, theater, event rooms, and café, all stacked in one space while incorporating unique ways to stimulate the five senses. The facility broadly contributes to promoting Nagoya’s local culture as a place for art appreciation, fostering human resources, and community development.
