Renovation3 Suntory Hall
In order to maintain its beautiful acoustics as a concert hall, Suntory Hall has planned and performed a renovation plan every five years since its opening. This year, which marks a milestone year, the hall will undergo a month-long renovation in April.
Following the installation of the chandelier over the Main Hall stage five years ago, this year’s work will include the installation of LEDs in the backstage area. Ventilation, which is an important measure against the spread of Covid, will be tuned while keeping the balance of Suntory Hall as a whole.
Although the pandemic is affecting all corners of life, designers and related parties are continuing their efforts to protect what needs to be protected.
