Kanzaki Hospital

This project involves the relocation and reconstruction of a hospital that has served as a community-based long-term care facility since its establishment in 1960. By limiting the number of stories and consolidating related departments onto single floors, the plan aims to enhance patient services and create a hospital that continues to be cherished by the community. The site is located between the urban area and the natural landscape of the Sefuri mountain range. With expansive rural scenery and open views, the building was designed with a dynamic and elongated exterior so that it functions as a visible landmark for the hospital itself. The distinctive form of the balconies was inspired by the hospital’s logo, which depicts patients and staff as flowers and the sun.
