Yamamoto Noh Theater, Renovation

We redeveloped Yamamoto Noh Theater, the oldest Noh theater in Osaka, with the aim of producing an“ open Noh theater” through a fusion of traditional wooden construction methods and the latest technology. We provide better seismic performance through rough-coated wall panels and seismic resistance rings, advance new Noh appreciation through measures such as switching to LED stage lighting, and provide a broad stage for cultural events in the community.
