Planned along the conventional railway line that has long supported the development of Oshamambe Town as a key transportation hub, the station is conceived in response to a new relationship between the town and its station. The design is based on a concept presented by Oshamambe Town: “A steam-scented Funka Bay—an intersection of people and eras.” Envisioned as a crossroads of the town where people’s aspirations and activities converge, the station is positioned as a civic hub that draws people together and revitalizes the local community. The 260-meter-long volume is composed as a new landscape for Oshamambe. A graduated facade applied to the canopy structure articulates to create a cohesive and unified overall design.
