Grosvenor Place Kamizono-Cho Tokyo

This project was already highly appealing for its location in the middle of Yoyogi Park. The planned site is around 8 m above the level of the road in front, and is surrounded by rich greenery and tranquility, with Yoyogi Park as its borrowed scenery. Making the most of this rich location, the theme for this project was to build a world-class residence with the theme of park life. We collaborated with Paul Davis+Partners (design supervision), a firm that has participated in many projects for Grosvenor of Britain, one of the client companies, and has been involved with high-end housing projects in Britain and around the world. This collaboration produced high-level residential architecture. We took the basic concept of the design as “A design with a high-class feel throughout is simple and builds in details with the combination of materials used for their textures.” Thus, the design made extensive use of natural materials, particularly wood and stone, to bring out their beauty. The design was unified in bringing out texture sensations in every detailed part, in the kitchen, bath, stairs, door knobs, and faucets. We produced a truly high-grade feel with the finest materials and a calculated, waste-free design.
