Nishitani Community Center Fureai Yume Plaza, Conversion

This project used and regenerated the main house and storehouse of a 150-year old wood-framed private house, gifted to the city by a local resident, and added a new building as a community center and farming promotion facility. The old and new buildings are joined by a glazed atrium space called the “Time Gallery,” to create a new community facility that is blended with history.
