Wakayama University Faculty of Tourism

A school building of encounters and stories

This project built a 144-seat stepped classroom and a multi-purpose space for students, following the establishment of the Faculty of Tourism. The large stepped classroom and a multi-purpose space for students are unified in the interior, as a single space running from the first floor to the second floor. Each room is open to the gentle slope called the “Symbol Road,” and joins with the scene of students moving along the slope, creating an inter-penetrating campus scene with moving viewpoint heights in the interior and exterior.
