Shimanomori Kodomo Center / Shimanomori Nursery No.2 & Shimanomori Shinmei Kindergarten

This facility uses two kindergarten buildings and an octagonal playroom to unify the wood-framed daycare center and kindergarten. The exterior has relaxed coloring like a diver’s hut, while the interior uses logs for symbolic freestanding columns, to create a space where one feels the warmth of wood.
