This project is a certified center for early childhood education and care, combining kindergarten and daycare center functions. It is intended to raise the brand image of Osaka International Education Institution, ensure the children’s safety and peace of mind, and earn the confidence and satisfaction of parents and the community. This design is packed with comfortable and appealing childcare rooms for learning, and play spaces in open, bright, and continuous corridors, in order to foster abundant sensitivity and imagination. This approach respects the “Wa” of Osaka International University (OIU), which stands for Japanese-ness, dialog, circles, environment, and understanding, all of which have the sound “wa” in Japanese. The children who attend the nursery building care for each other, and foster each other’s growth, making the building a source of vitality for local society. It creates a space for information exchange, which respects the connections between community, environment, and people.
